The Department of Chinese Studies and the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney invite applications for the inaugural Sydney Chinese Studies Postgraduate Seminar to be held at the University of Sydney on Friday 5 October 2018. Postgraduate students working on any subject related to Chinese Studies are encouraged to submit applications. The seminar is free of charge and will consist of 10-15 minute student presentations followed by critical comments and suggestions from a panel of discussants.

  • Bonnie S. McDougall, Emeritus Professor, University of Edinburgh; Honorary Associate, Department of Chinese Studies, University of Sydney
  • Ying Qian, Assistant Professor, Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, Columbia University; 2018 Sydney China Fellow, University of Sydney
  • Wanning Sun, Professor of Media and Communication Studies, University of Technology Sydney
  • Luigi Tomba, Professor and Director, China Studies Centre, University of Sydney
