The Director of CIW is a broad and strategic leadership role with a strong external focus. The Director plays a critical role in the fostering of world-leading research agendas; the delivery of world-class education; engagement with partner institutions in the Chinese world; and the deep engagement on policy issues with Australian and international governments.

Reporting to the Dean of the College of Asia & the Pacific, Professor Michael Wesley, the successful candidate will be an internationally recognised academic in Chinese Studies and will bring commitment, new ideas and enthusiasm to the role.
