The eminent Chinese economist Yao Yang, currently visiting the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies, will offer three lunchtime seminars in August on the state of the Chinese economy. This is an excellent chance to get your head around the policy debates in Beijing as China re-orients its growth model, as well as the social and economic forces animating the recent collapse in global commodity and Chinese equity markets.
